Making services and experiences available online or through an app improves the quality of life for residents by making it easier for them to get what they need, but bringing both citizens and services online is no easy task.
Smart Columbus is working to digitalize more of the city's experiences and processes and to connect the city's agencies in ways that promote efficiency, collaboration, and results. In addition, Smart Columbus is ensuring every resident has basic affordable internet access along with the devices and skills to use it.

Smart Columbus is working with an ecosystem of partners to ensure under-resourced residents have affordable and reliable access to residential internet, connected devices, and digital skills training opportunities.
Central Ohio Regional Digital Inclusion Alliance
Ensuring that high-speed internet is available to everyone in the state, BroadbandOhio is connecting underserved communities across Ohio by establishing Regional Digital Inclusion Alliances.
Community Information Exchange
We are working with community partners to design and build the Columbus Community Information Exchange (CIE), a critical data infrastructure that brings social service programs together to share data and efficiently connect residents with the services they need.
